The Bereavement Team is a group of parishioners who provide support to members of the community who are mourning the death of a loved one. Members of the team assist the pastoral care staff through making phone calls, helping with programs, and readying the church prior to the funeral. Members also assist in a variety of ways at funeral liturgies by serving as mass coordinators, greeters, choir members and Eucharistic Ministers. Follow-up support is given to families through phone calls, letters and suitable literature dealing with grief issues. The Bereavement Team is in need of volunteers in all aspects of this ministry. Contact Maggi Hunt 321-1207 ext. 5521.
