The St. Mary Parish sponsors one of the over sixty small volunteer groups that makes up the Cincinnati Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Our monthly meetings are the Thursday before the third Sunday of the month at 7:30 pm. We meet in the basement of the rectory.

Our most visible function is the handling of the monthly food drive. Our members collect our Parish contributions from church, sort them, and arrange for their delivery. Much of the food is delivered to Mother of Christ Church in Winton Terrace for distribution. We keep a small amount of the food for delivery to emergency cases in the area.

Members of our group may meet one-on-one with people who need assistance and may provide help with food, clothing, utilities, transportation, rent, and companionship. Others work at the thrift stores or at the food pantries or they may provide transportation to job training.

We are funded entirely by Parish contributions. Ted Wenstrup is the president of our group and Larry Healy is the treasurer.
