Did you miss the Parish-wide Assembly on May 8th? Read on!
Over 120 parishioners had drinks and dinner on May 8th and then participated in an evening presentation focused on the activation of our strategic long range plan. We reviewed the “State of the Parish” and then shared updates on all the commission’s work, including our two newest - Discipleship & Parish Life! Both shared exciting news including:
· A “taking it to the streets” program – aimed at neighborhood block parties to kick off our talents and service program
· A volunteer coordinator position to enable better connection between parishioners and service opportunities
· A full slate of summer Parish Life activities including a June 24th Reds night, a bridge club and an “in-Betweeners” social
Following the review of our progress with the commissions, Marisue Naber & Kent Britt shared progress on our Church Refurbishment and Facilities Upgrade programs. We announced that we have selected Miller-Valentine to begin a full assessment of the Church projects and then collect estimates for the work. On the facilities work, Kent and his team have developed the scope document which will be worked with an architect, so that plans can be drawn and estimates collected. We should have a good understanding of the capital required by mid-summer. To that end, we also announced the formation of our Capital Campaign under the leadership of Fr. Ken, Bob Smyth and Alison Rice.
We’re moving forward! Are you on-board?? Be a part of the progress…
